Squad Safe wins a WomanWhoUK business award!

This month Squad Safe was announced as the winner of a WomanWhoUK business award!

This celebrated female business awards is run by entrepreneur, mentor, public speaker and author Sandra Garlick MBE and was launched in 2018 to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Women in Business.

The awards selection process involves businesses and individuals being nominated, completing a detailed form about their business, selection as a finalist and then a finalists' interview with a judge panel made up of business experts . Of founder and owner of Squad Safe, the panel said...

"Joey's passion and dedication to make a difference within a difficult and diverse sector shows in what she has achieved in a very small space of time. Through a belief that change needed to happen within safeguarding policy and delivery throughout Dance, Cheerleading and Gymnastics, she has become a leading force for change. She is gaining rapid results and recognition for her work, and is

driving change within Sporting Bodies and Organisations all around the world."

“It is fantastic to be recognised outside the sports sector for this type of work, and being interviewed on stage was an amazing opportunity to share with over 100 inspiring women from all over the country, in a range of businesses, some of the exciting things Squad Safe is doing. So many people came up to me afterwards to say thank you for talking about creating safe spaces for young people, to share their own stories of abuse in sport and to ask how they can get involved in supporting the work. What an incredible privilege to be nominated, selected as a finalist and to be a winner!” – Joey Gamper Cuthbert,
