Joey Gamper Cuthbert is an internationally recognised speaker, bestselling author and expert in athlete welfare and culture change. She brings together lived experience, strategic insight and a deep understanding of sport to challenge audiences to think differently about what it means to create safer, healthier and more sustainable sporting cultures. As Chair of SportCheer England and the author of Squad Safe: A Practical Guide to Athlete Welfare and Culture Change in Cheerleading, Joey works at the intersection of safeguarding, governance, leadership and organisational culture. Her work explores what happens when sport becomes increasingly commercial, high-performance and public-facing - and why athlete welfare needs to evolve alongside it. Joey has delivered keynote addresses, conference talks and panel contributions across sport, education and safeguarding, speaking to sport leaders, coaches, educators, athletes and young people.
